General Information About Venus Bay, SA Venus Bay, on the west coast of Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, is approximately a seven hour drive from Adelaide. It is 220 kilometres north west of Port Lincoln and about the same distance south east of Ceduna. It is a quiet fishing and holiday village situated close to beautiful beaches and spectacular coastline. Walking around the South Head you can observe the resident dolphins in the entrance to the bay and in winter you can sometimes get a wave from a passing whale. There are some good surf breaks close by for those interested in surfing. The bay is safe for swimming and boating and generally fishing (from either a boat or the jetty) is good all year round. If you have a larger boat and the skills to go outside the bay you can be rewarded with good catches of Snapper, Shark, Nanniguy, Morwong, Tuna and Southern Rock Lobster. |
